Have
you considered the frustration of the opposition against Mordecai? “And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordeccai alone
, for they had shewed him the people of Mordeccai; wherefore, Haman sought to
destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even
the people of Mordeccai” Est3:6 (KJV) Again, it
appears that Haman’s wife knew more about the God of the Jews than Haman. Look
at her statement; then said his
wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him; if Mordeccai be the seed of the Jews,
before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him but
shall surely fall before him. Est 6:13(KJV)
What
of that against Daniel? All the
presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and
the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make
a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty
days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.Dan6:7 (KJV).
Just
imagine the calibre of people involved; the presidents, the governors, the
princes, the counsellors, the captains. We know how these men ended, including
Haman, their wives, children and entire household. Dan 6:24, Est 7:9-10 respectively. No matter the calibre, the
height or the level of any man, whether politically or in occultism, know who
is who, that take a counsel against a child of God can stand. It is impossible.
A story was
told about a brother and a sister who agreed to marry each other, after much
prayer to ascertain the will of God concerning them in marriage. When the
sister’s father who was a strong herbalist was informed, he rejected the
proposition vehemently and said, “Over my
dead body will I allow the young man marry my daughter”. The brother and
sister tried really hard to convince him but to no avail. Eventually some brethren heard, who became interested in
the matter, took it up in prayer unto the lord. They prayed and cried unto the Lord
Suddenly the
girl’s father dropped his herbalist bags and became a Christian, started going
to church and everyone was surprised especially those close to him about the
immediate change. Within a short time, he called for the young man whom he had
earlier vowed would never marry his daughter. This time, he was interested. He
assisted the young man so much especially with regards to ome-nala (native law
and custom). The weddings, both traditional and church were successfully done
to the glory of God. But surprisingly after all these when the brother and
sister had married, the man (the sister’s father) dropped his bible, left
church and went back to his shrine. He picked up his native doctors bags,
dusted it and went back to his former occupation as a herbalist.
My counsel shall stand declares the Lord and I
will do all my pleasure. Is46:10
